Investment properties in Christchurch
Most people who invest with M Group Properties are buying a new townhouse off the plan, often before the slab has been poured. It is a different process from buying an existing home, and the questions we field most often are about timing, deposits and what happens between signing and settlement.
We develop in established Christchurch suburbs where tenants already want to live, close to the city centre, transport, schools and green space. Addington, Sydenham, St Albans, Spreydon and Riccarton all feature in our completed and current projects. Site selection comes first: we assess zoning under the Christchurch District Plan, geotechnical conditions, flood risk, service availability and local demand before we commit to a purchase.
What buying off the plan involves
You secure a property with a deposit and a sale and purchase agreement, then pay the balance at settlement once the code compliance certificate is issued. During construction we keep buyers updated on progress, and early in the build there is usually room for bespoke changes such as different kitchen and bathroom tiles or custom joinery.
Every M Group home comes with a 12 month build warranty, plus full product warranties on materials and appliances. Aftercare runs through a dedicated email address, and you can call any of the directors directly.
